Nha Trang's Coastline: More Than Just One Beach
Most visitors picture Nha Trang's famous 6 km city beach when they think of the coast — and it's impressive. But the region hides a remarkable collection of beaches and island coves that reward those willing to venture a little further. Here's a breakdown of the best options, from the accessible to the adventurous.
Nha Trang Main Beach (Trần Phú Beach)
The city's iconic stretch runs along Trần Phú Boulevard and is the social heart of the beachfront. It's wide, well-maintained, and lined with sunbeds, coconut palms, and beach clubs. The water is generally calm from February through August. Expect crowds during Vietnamese holidays, but outside of peak times it's surprisingly peaceful in the early mornings.
Best for: Sunbathing, swimming, beach walking, and easy access to restaurants and cafés.
Bãi Dài (Long Beach) — Cam Ranh
Located about 40 km south of Nha Trang, near Cam Ranh, Bãi Dài (meaning "long beach") is one of the most pristine stretches of sand in southern Vietnam.
